What a crack up!! Laughter is the best medicine! My hubs, Ron spent an hour on the phone with our internet provider and thankfully they were from the US but they were just as difficult passing him on to another tech and repeating their spiel until he got a tech that was helpful and listened to what the problem was all about and fixed it. BTW your animation adds to the fun!!

I always pray to God before I have to call any "tech" or banking people. For some reason my bane in life is dealing with phones and banks. God doesn't want me to have money or communicate!

I believe in praying all day too. I need help driving the car on our winding narrow hilly roads, watching my grandchildren, going shopping for groceries, driving in bad weather as we have so much fog and heavy rain storms, praying for my loved ones like my two brothers and three sisters and their families. Life is complicated at best of times and we live in a scary world. We need God's blessings and help to get along the narrow path that we traverse in this fallen world.

Hahaha - this story so reminded me of the brilliant English black comedy animation series' episode entitled: "Indian call centre".

Enjoy, all the best to you both for 2023 and keep up the top work ;))

That link is great - thanks so much for sharing it! I never knew about Monkey Dust. Great animation.

Their stuff is fabulous.

Give it a go. There's quite a bit of it on youtube.

The creator of the series - Harry Thompson - was way ahead of his time.

Sadly he got diagnosed with cancer and passed.

The BBC would never play such non PC stuff these days.

Here're some clips to get you started:

This one kicks the crap out of the USA:

And the UK:

Then watch Ivan Dobsky The Meat Safe Murderer which is so very clever about living in the past. Here's the link to 6 of the ID clips:

Clive (making excuses to his wife about his whereabouts is also one of my favourites:

Let me know what you think.

Love them all!. The USA one - he died from DVT from not walking around the plane. LOL! Now he would be dying from baffling sudden death. As an animator, I wish I knew what software he used. Probably adobe.

Hi Napoleon,

We did an animation back in the day when I was doing stand-up comedy.

My one is called "Me vs Mr Google" - here's the link:

https://youtu.be/VMLtyKUqtLg

I got hold of my animator about your Q regarding the software they used to create Monkey Dust and he said:

"Would guess something like After Effects or Toon boom perhaps. Found an interesting article that says it cost them $540 000 per episode!! https://www.vice.com/en/article/3bjn7n/remembering-monkey-dust-773

Have a nice wednesday : ))

I am going to check out the links. Humor (even dark humor) is sorely missing these days.

So glad I don’t have any wine or I would have fallen asleep and missed your excellent whine. Thanks for your funny and creative post. It made me laugh, and that’s always good medicine.

Thanks! I try not to whine a lot, but yesterday's interaction with TracFone was just too much. If I don't laugh and take my frustrations out on my digital paper dolls I would probably go "postal."

Lol! You made my horror show hilarious. Thanks Pug for making me laugh. Yes Venus was calling from Venus and the picture of you coming out of the sauna looks like you're coming out of hell! God always helps if we ask.

As long as I am on Earth I am always in hell. I need humor and God to get me through hell's fires.

Thanks Rosalind. Sometimes you just have to laugh at the insanity in order to keep your sanity.

So true! (I fast from social media a day or 2 if I find myself getting too grumpy. ) you brought flashbacks of my Dad talking to tech support years ago. He’d get soooo frustrated, rightly so. If a telemarketer would call in the evening, he’d say Give me your number, I’ll call you back when you are eating dinner “ or “ look, I admire your work ethic but I can’t understand anything you are saying with your accent “
