Thanks, Napoleon, that was a comfort. In our nightly grace, where I oten forget to actually thank Him for our food, I usually ask Him for the wisdom to discern His will, and the strength to do it.

It is SUCH a pleasure to be in communication, like this, with other believing Christians. Many, many thanks.

Thanks for reading VVV. It is nice to talk with other believers. Sometimes it can feel lonely out there. Especially nowadays!

Your post is an excellent example of what we are to do in this spiritual war to combat evil:

James 5:16

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Absolutely! Can you imagine if just one person in politics humbled themselves in public and confessed their sins of the past three years. What an example that would be. But I forgot none of those people are ever wrong. Pride extraordinaire.

Thank you for such an inspiring read! I truly loved hearing from Father Ripperger who seems to be on the front lines fighting for men's souls with love and grace. May God help us to overcome the evil pride that is dragging our world into darkness for many people and nations!

Hi Charlotte. Father Ripperger is great. Straight to the point and doesn't beat around the bush. One of the too few good Catholic priests. Whenever I feel my pride overtaking me yet again I step back and pray for humility and guidance. Such a hard thing to do in this world!

Yes, it is easy to back slide due to our human condition and it is a struggle for me as well to acknowledge my weaknesses and ask for God's help and forgiveness and trying to repent. It is a continuous process and I wonder sometimes if I will ever learn my lessons. I thought it would get easier as I got older, well that's delusion, for sure!

Excellent synopsis of the tentacles of evil, thank you. I note that AI is being positioned to become the deity, a manufactured false idol that elites will refer to in order to manufacture policy directives and plausible deniability. It is circular reasoning par excellence that can only lead into the Nietzsche abyss.

Thank you for reading Dr. You are right about AI. I have this uneasy feeling about it and not because I'm a luddite who doesn't like snazzy new gadgets. TheTech has now replaced TheScience as the God du jour. Those who use AI are tapping into lower human pride, ego, thought, that is also manipulated by demons and satan. But for some reason those who tap into God and His higher reasoning, intelligence and love through prayer are thought of as idiots who believe in a sky daddy. AI is all pride, all the time. So is transhumansim. I would like to know what AI's response would be to the question - "what is human pride?" It would probably come back with pride month for the alphabet crowd.

This essay is on fire 🔥 Napoleon!! IT’s everything and most encouraging that the demons are losing strength. They are panicking about being revealed and then reviled. It is their last ditch effort. St Michael defend us is battle!

Yes indeed Laura! Satan and his demons are only allowed to go so far and then even they must humble themselves before God and Jesus. In the videos Fr. Ripperger talks about how much pain the demons are in during an exorcist - the pain of unending shame and being called out on it. Demons would rather cower in the dark. That is why we must point out evil and evil doers at all times and shame them about their pride. God already won this battle, but for some reason (because of pride) we refuse to kneel to the winner and pray for His power in our spiritual battles.

Oh Napoleon....the blessing of this COVID crisis and the loss of my career is the destruction of my ego. I now know what it means to say - God has a plan, God is in control, God will provide. Before I also always thought it was me. I truly don't know why God picked me for this particular journey but it has forced a deep dive into His Word- which has provided so much comfort and direction.

Keep praying for me that I have strength in my personal battle with my prior employer. We finally got a ruling from the federal court - the judge agreed that I raised state law claims that should be in state court and denied their motion to dismiss! Round 1 of 15, per my lawyer, but I take that small victory and that encouragement that God sent on the very anniversary of my termination.

And, two days before that, the Bishop left three words with the group of teens being confirmed - Truth, Resistance and Conviction. If that wasn't a sign and encouragement, I don't know what is. It made me think of James 1:6

Wonderful news Jennifer! God does send little signs (or as I say, throws little bones our way) to show that we are on the right track. I think many of these employers are going to have a rough time over the next few years. I don't know if you heard about it but Ed Dowd says there is now talk in the financial firms of litigation financing against employers. Things are moving to judgment, yes they are, slowly and in the background. But it all depends on God and His will. People want Nuremberg II but we NEED God I, II, III, etc. I 'll pray for you and all of us to weather this battle, stay the course and humble ourselves before God only. BTW, I love that word conviction.

(Latinist here)--con (from preposition 'cum', with) viction (from verb vinco, vincere, vici, victum--conquer)----so at it's heart the word seems to imply conquering together.....

Over the past several days, leading up to and past my anniversary date, I have been posting on Facebook some of the verses that have given me strength and direction. Today is my planned final post (though I've enjoyed it so it may continue). It fits with Napoleon's post yesterday so I am sharing with you all also.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:10-18

ViaVeritasVita - Latin is so wonderful. I barely remember it but my Grandmother was a Latin teacher before she married. She was incredibly proper and is really at the root of my faith. She drilled into us the importance of understanding the roots of words. I've lost touch with that (and have not been diligent with my children) so thank you. What beauty! That makes the Bishop's message even more relevant and more of a sign. Just typing this brings back memories standing in front of her dining room table, shoulders back, posture perfect, holding the leather-bound Bible story book with a beautiful picture (I believe of Baby Moses in a reed basket) in outstretched hands, reading that day's Biblical lesson to my sister and Grandmother. Another wonderful gift of COVID is that it has brought me to the daily practice of "praying by name" - learned from my Grandmother and Papaw. They were incredibly diligent and had lists. My Papaw had this pocket spiral bound notebook where his list was kept; my Grandmother had 5x7 color coded notecards. Thank you both for bringing up these memories.

My grandmother also was a Latin teacher (1906-11) before she married! Her son taught Latin before going into the business world; I did,. My eldest and youngest majored in Latin ( "because" said the youngest, "that's what the girls in our family do"), and 'middlest,' who did not do Latin at university (but did 4 years in secondary), is now a Latin teacher at a Classical Christian academy. The further I go in life, the more value I see in the study of Latin with attendant Roman history. Thanks so much for writing. Lovely ideas you have offered me--the praying by name, and keeping lists. I will put that into practice.

Latin is making a comeback. At my church they are going to give Latin lessons because so many new parishioners have joined and want to follow along with the Mass. I love Latin.
