Thank you for reminding me of the sheer beauty captured in Christmas hymns, anthems and songs across the years. They are a tangible manifestation of the powerful goodness of humanity through the joyful lens of Salvation. Felicem natalem Christi. Laus Deo Semper
Absolutely! The beauty of cathedrals and hymns during Christmas speak to the wonder of God. No matter what happens in this world, they can't take away my joy of Christmas carols.
Listening to a beautiful old rendition of Little Drummer Boy the other day, I was struck with the feeling that a point of this song is to convey the truth that when we listen to the quiet counsel of the Holy Spirit, and offer up to Lord praise using whatever gift he has deigned to bestow on is, it is a pleasure to the Lord, no matter if our fellow humans would think it the mist precious gift or not.
There's something special about the infusing as much beauty as a human is capable of, in worshipping God. As much as it is a soaring of the spirit in reaching toward God, it's a returning testament of God's beauty back to Him.
The Old Testament tells us that even if a person never heard the Word, the presence of God in His creation would be evidence to demonstrate His existence to that person.
I'm terrible with scripture quotes, and I've probably paraphrased it all wrong. I'm just a lay person, so you won't be getting precision out of me.

Great comment!
With God, there is always hope. Without God, despair.
Indeed!
Beautiful. During High Mass at my Church the choir does something similar with Gregorian Chants.
Hypnotic and unusual!!
Yes! Beautiful!
While I am working on my animations I listen to the internet radio station called "The Rudder." They play choral/chants with limited commercials.
Thanks. I bookmarked it and will check it out.
Angels we have heard on high!
Great one! So many I've forgotten about. Now I can look them up and listen to them.
