What I find interesting is the medallion with the picture of the shroud. Very detailed for a small metal item. Someone took some time in making that. Also, if the shroud was made in the middle ages why isn't the image made in middle ages' art? Instead it is the only piece of middle ages "art" that shows a realistic, photograph image.
I think it's interesting that the medallion was literally "defaced" (heads missing). It seems that someone wanted to make the people associated with the medallion to disappear. It was dangerous, I imagine, to be associated with the Shroud or relics thereof.
Back around Eastertime 2005, I had an unforgettable dream. It was right around the time Terry Schaivo died, and Pope John Paul II passed away several days later. Both stories were sad.
In this dream, I am in the cue to go view the shroud of Turin in its glass case. The waiting area for the cue was a coffee shop with tiny bistro tables. That was weird. Then my ticket number gets called and I walk into the viewing place where people would file by the case and exit at the foot of it, in single file.
So now I’m standing at the head of the case, looking down at what was supposed to be the shroud, but it was actually the BODY of Jesus. This body appeared very thin with sunken cheeks and wasted away like a terminal patient. As I looked in the case at this Holy Face of Jesus, I made the wisecrack “Looks like Jesus could use a new body.”
As soon as I said that, His EYES OPENED. Huge brown eyes looking up at me, and Jesus says to ME “I already have a BODY!” Well, the people ahead and behind me are now declaring, “JESUS IS ALIVE! Get him out of this case! Help Him Up!”
Jesus allows the people to help him sit up and he IMMEDIATELY TRANSFIGURES (morphs) into a beautiful blond haired blue eyed 12 year old boy, clothed in a pure white robe and surrounded by the light of Heaven, which was actually coming FROM HIM.
Then Jesus was seated at a bench at the foot of the case right in front of me, and the light felt as if it was HIS PURE PERFECT LOVE.
There’s more, but that dream was so vivid, it literally felt real to me. One possible explanation for this experience is that I had been living with obstructive sleep apnea my whole life due to mammoth sized tonsils (finally came out in Jan. 2020). It’s quite possible I was not moving air for quite some time during that dream.
Not necessarily is that a near death experience, but maybe it’s precursor? Who knows?
For the record, I’ve never been to Italy, and hadn’t been thinking about the shroud of Turin that week. I was just sad about Terry Schaivo and the Pope dying within a few days of each other. But it also was around Eastertime.
When this happened in 2005, I hadn’t been attending mass or receiving sacraments for 25 years. It wasn’t until 2021 that I returned to church in a TLM chapel (only had known the NO after Vatican II).
My impression is that God never left me as I wandered in the worldly spiritual desert for 41 years. He REALLY loves us infinitely and perfectly, and wants us all to come to Him.
Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.
I loved reading about your dream. It made me happy. It sounds like you had a very vivid lucid dream. Perhaps your sleep apnea caused you to "die" for a short time and you really did go see Jesus on the other side. I have never dreamt of Jesus or God, except one time when I had a lucid dream:
I flew out of my body and into the stars. Eventually everything turned to complete darkness (no stars) and I was hovering in the blackness. No sound, nothing. I believed I had truly died.
Out of nowhere I deep voice said "God is LOVE, amen."
Then I woke up. I will always remember that dream even though it happened five years ago.
I was contemplating the other day the blood brain barrier that is under constant bioweapon attack. This attack is to more easily control the mind inside the brain. That WEF spokesfreak Hariri says “humans are hackable animals” as if he’s not human himself. There are different views of the spiritual dimension from a theoretical and scientific perspective. It occurred to me that the spirit dimension is on the other side of a veil of consciousness, and that veil has similar characteristics to the blood brain barrier. Vivid dreams that we feel engage our conscious mind, such as these, may be the interface between consciousness and spirituality. It makes sense that God has many ways to get his signal in to us through the noise of this physical worldl mortal existence. With that understanding and my trust in God to guide us on His narrow path, these loving messages fortify us to face the daily battles once we awaken from sleep. We can tune in to God on the REM sleep frequency of our brain like tuning in on the radio dial to our favorite music station. Just my musings on listening to God with our mind. Prayer is the antenna that brings in the signal!
My view on that demon Hariri is that he is upset that he's bald (Hariri is his name, pretty close to hair). He's upset that humans can't cure baldness for his narcissistic vanity and so he wants to get rid of the human body and exist only in a computer where he has a fine set of hair, like Elvis! Just my view and I bet I'm pretty close to the truth.
I love that dream. Thank you for sharing it! It may have been a near death experience. Isn't it weird that you remember that dream and all its details decades later, while other dreams are completely forgotten. It means something.
I’ve pondered it often. The light of perfect love is something I only recently learned getting described. It’s not uncommon for the past to resonate in the present. Since God’s will operates outside of space and time, it is a beautiful mystery that the future resonates back to the past as well. It’s one of the many things in life that keep me beyond doubt and of deeper conviction than even faith.
Thanks so much for more interesting and intriguing information on the Shroud of Turin. The animation is great!! I know this must be very time consuming to produce for your readers and I am very appreciative of that.
Thank you so much Charlotte. Pug and I appreciate it. Hopefully people who have never heard about the shroud can learn something new (Lord knows the Catholic Church doesn't promote the Shroud).
The Catholic church is too busy bleaching the image and ironing out the wrinkles on the Shroud (referring to the last Shroud "restoration" done by the Catholic church in 2002). It is like the Catholic church is trying to make the Shroud and its history disappear. (
Nor does my church, but historical knowledge of the life of Jesus Christ is out there for those who seek to find evidence of his short life, his teachings, the persecutions, death and resurrection which we believe to be eternally momentous to us all.

A fascinating account. Thank you.

P.S. The comedy at the end was so funny and thanks for a "good laughing fit".
