My marriage disaster tale was even more devastating. No do overs for me.

Yeah I don't see myself ever getting married again. I probably never should have got married in the first place. I don't know how some people get married three or four times - too hard and too much drama.

Your church sounds very similar to the one I joined years ago. We also take the Sacrament every Sunday to renew our covenants with God.

Hi Charlotte. You don't have to say but what is the name of your Church?

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When I was a child, my parents took us to a Congressional Bible Church and I visited my Grandmother's Lutheran Church. I have always loved God and His Son, Jesus Christ. I have not always been valiant as my faith has wavered due to divorce and additional problems that come up in life. But I am now retired and have learned many lessons. The older I get the more I realize that God allows us to make choices good or bad so we can learn to follow the Holy Spirit's guidance for our learning and teach us the way we need to live and grow. I like the book "Pilgrims Progress" because all of humanity is here on this earth to learn and progress in this mortal sphere and hopefully return someday to our Maker.

Thanks Charlotte, everything you say is spot on! Fun fact- I live about 70 miles from where the Mormon religion was started here in upstate NY. They used to put on a summer Hill Cumorah Pageant every year in Palmyra before covid. I went to it once.

I have not been to upstate New York but I know it's a very beautiful area from what photos I have seen. I live in Missouri very close to the Missouri River in a small tourist town of about a thousand people. I do have to drive into a larger town to go to church but if it's bad weather I have a friend that has invited me to her local Methodist Church. I like attending other churches when I can as we are all just sojourners trying to find our way back to God and our heavenly home.

My father went to Fort Leonard Wood for basic training and lived in Crocker, MO for awhile. He always said he wanted to move to the Ozarks. Small world we live in!
