I do believe that miracles happen every day to many people around the world so that we humans can sustain our physical and spiritual life and draw closer to God. We should never underestimate the power of God and discount events that we may not understand. I try to keep an open mind so as not to miss something significant.
I try to keep an open mind too. It's the little things we gloss over everyday that are probably miracles if we only knew. Sometimes I wonder if one of my religious pictures started weeping and I showed anyone, would they consider that a miracle or a fakery. Probably no one would care. Everyone is on their own journey in this life.
It would take a like-minded individual, I'm thinking. I have seen things and experienced them and if I shared them with certain individuals they would tell me that I was crazy. For instance, I am an outdoors gal and have spent a lot of time in wooded areas. Some people have never ventured into the deep woods and it would be uncomfortable for them and perhaps frightening.
Great ending! Free will and faith are very fine substances. We'd like God to barge in and make things right, in a very physical way. And it is not how it works, as the change must come from within. But the miracle is that it does. Thanks for this lesson!
Great comment - change must come from within and the miracle is that is does. I like that. You are right. You hear stories all the time about people who changed 180 degrees and nobody ever thought they could. You are right that is the miracle. I know someone right now that I often wonder if that person will ever change and if it did it would be a miracle. Still waiting on that miracle!
At a certain point in life, faith becomes conviction and one is beyond doubt. If this event brought one soul to God, that is the true miracle.
