When you close your eyes and you fall asleep Everything about you is a mystery... I hear the secrets that you keep When you're talking in your sleep
- The Romantics (love the hair!)
I did it again. Last night I talked out loud in my sleep. I do this all the time, and I know that I do it when I'm doing it. It's actually quite freaky.
This past time I was dreaming that I was in my mother's room talking to her about all the seizures people were having in her room. I told her that the room probably needed a blessing and then I started to do the sign of the cross †. At that point, I felt a pressure in the room prohibiting me from making the sign of the cross † and I screamed out loud "go to HELL!" That was the first out loud talking. I also said out loud two or three times "you will go NOW!" Then I woke up thinking I was still in my mother's room, but I was in my own room, with Rusty my cat looking at me like I was nuts.
While I was saying those things in my sleep I knew I was saying them out loud and very loud. I could hear myself shouting those words, or at least trying to shout them. Most likely what Rusty heard was:
goo tu Hbnkhjb!!
yhyy wug goo Nomnbhjg!!
I sleep talk or somniloquy all the time. According to the experts1, most people aren't aware that they sleep talk and don't remember it when they wake up. In addition, experts aren't sure why people talk in their sleep and don't know if it has something to do with dreams2.
Well, experts are full of crap as usual (see covid me-too freakoutism to see how dumb experts are). I ALWAYS know I am talking in my sleep and I also know that I am mumbling and not talking correctly, and so I will repeat the phrase over and over until I can somewhat hear it comes out correctly. Additionally, I know it is ALWAYS in relation to a dream. I know exactly what I am saying and why I am saying it.
Speaking of experts full of crapola3. This notion that dreams mostly occur in REM sleep is the biggest piece of garbage since claiming slave masks stop viruses or poison chemo shots help your immune system. According to experts, you mostly dream in REM sleep, which occurs 1-1.5 hours in after you fall asleep. That is complete hogwash.
I have timed myself. Once I fell asleep at 9:00pm and woke up at 9:15pm. During that time I had a dream. Once I fell asleep at 10:00pm and during the next hour I woke up continually, about every 20 minutes after a dream, and this all happened before I hit REM sleep. My dreams happen all night long, during REM and non-REM sleep. In fact, I once had a dream when I was falling asleep, I was half awake at the time and still dreaming. I probably dream about 8+ dreams a night and remember almost all of them.
I'm a dream mess, and apparently a sleep-talking mess as well (not to mention a night terror mess, which is a post for another day).
Does anyone else have dream/sleep issues?

I problem solve when I sleep and last night was the worst of all. I really need the truth to come out and quick so I can stop worrying about everyone else and just live.
