MIRACULOUS RESCUE: When All Machines Fail, Indian ‘Rat Miners’ Dig Non-Stop for 26 Hours WITH HAND TOOLS To Free 41 Workers Trapped in a Collapsed Tunnel
One of the Rat Miners stated: "We told them [the trapped miners] it was not us but God who wanted them to live." Yes. It was God who saved the miners with help from humans, who had faith and belief in God. A good outcome resulted. One could say love overcame the impossible.
As to Kissinger's death. It was about time. I actually had a small "pang" of pity looking at his decrepit photo and realizing he may be in hell for eternity. God gave him 100 years to repent from his egotism and evil that caused thousands of deaths. I wonder if he repented? We will never know, that is between God and each and every human soul.
Great story pf what humans can do when allowing God into their lives. As for Kissinger I feel sad when anyone freely chooses to go to hell. But then I think they were quite happy in their God-given free will to do evil and reject God. Without true repentence at the end, they got exactly what wanted - eternally.
While I have not followed the Pope or the out-ster of various priests (heard of them in passing but I would not say I am informed) and am not commenting on that, Amen. Amen to the fact that we need God in so many ways. We need God to help us discern the troubling events of the world. We need God to direct us what to do. We need God to help remind everyone that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made," each unique and individual, with different needs, different experiences, different histories. We need God. I am so thankful for an experience in my youth that made me realize that the leaders of our churches were just men, fallible, prone to temptation; they are not all knowing. You very much have to judge them by the fruits of their labor.
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Matthew 7:15-20
Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings! Acts 5:29
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans. Psalm 118:8
So that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. 1 Corinthians 2:5
And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. Revelation 18:23
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge — They have not the knowledge of God, nor of sacred things, nor of their own interest, nor of the danger to which they are exposed. They walk on blindly, and perish. Because thou hast rejected knowledge — So they might have become wise, had they not rejected the means of improvement. Hosea 4:6
Thank you Jennifer for the scripture quotes. Especially the last one. I still look at that list you sent me of quotes. I have to keep reminding myself daily of God's word. Thank you!
The log of verses I began in 2020 or early 2021, now six pages of nine point type, keeps me nimble on the keyboard! I have started to use substack more and have not updated my log as consistently. I need to get back to it, because so often I will be struck by something and recall the substance of a verse...that I did not log. Inevitably, the search is fruitful. This post though from Napoleon - addressed fully by the log! Thank you for the share and support.
Yesterday and today I have found myself weary, much like Napoleon. I feel like many of my hopes and dreams for my children have been dashed. I know I am never alone with God, but it also helps to hear that others are going through the same struggles. I appreciate the verses you share. Thank you.
The world the last three years has seemed to dash all our hopes. But maybe our hopes were put in the wrong place? I've replaced many of my earthly dreams for my life with God. I've gained more peace than anything in this world could give. Still I have lingering feelings of dread for humans. But God will never leave us no matter how much we hate Him.
I woke up to this:

We share that burden of our children. God's will be done. Be blessed today.
