God actually told me today he's upset. He wants no more lies, from any of us.
The world is full of lies and it is destroying us. He also said its not misspeaking, misinformation, disinformation or "the narrative", it's lies and liars. It's in His Commandments and if we don't follow the Commandment of "thou shall not lie" the truth we are all looking for will never come.
Just ask God yourself how He is doing. He will respond. I guarantee you.
It can be instructive to imagine what this world looks like from a God's-eye view, and what that would feel like. It makes me shudder to think about it, and I am pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to bear it. I do believe, however, that God has the matter in hand. If you consider what was involved in creating everything we see or know about, including us, our situation is perhaps not as dire as we might imagine it to be.
Our problems are beyond our ability to solve. That is a fundamental truth that can be seen by those with eyes to see. But we don't have to solve the problems. That is God's job. We have each been given other things to do. So go do them.
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation* But deliver us from evil.
At the moment I wrestle with the rapidity with which one is inclined to turn to Him for solace and help when the going is tough. When it's easy, nary a thought.
Yes, that's the nature of humans. I find when I pray God responds with about 75% of what I asked for - never does He answer my prayers completely. He wants us to keep coming back to Him every day, no matter if life is going good or bad for us. I'm going to write a post about what happened to me after I wrote this post and asked God how He was.
You made a good and thoughtful point. We are God's children but let's grow up and do something good for others and be an example of how God would want us to behave.

Jesus gave us the words to pray:
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation* But deliver us from evil.
Amen!
At the moment I wrestle with the rapidity with which one is inclined to turn to Him for solace and help when the going is tough. When it's easy, nary a thought.
Keep on praying.

Hi Charlotte. Your comments. are always on point! We always forget that we should treat God as we would a good friend.
