Welcome friend,
I’m Mark, and this space is for the wanderers, the worn out, and the ones still wrestling with God at 2 a.m. I don’t have all the answers, but I know the One who does—and I’m learning to trust Him more.

Have you ever had a feeling deep down that something wasn’t right? Or a strong sense to do something good—even when it didn’t make sense? Most people call it intuition. But if you’re born again, that might actually be the Holy Spirit.
Let’s talk about it.
“Out of Your Belly Will Flow Rivers of Living Water”
In John 7:38, Jesus said, “He that believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
What a strange place for spiritual power—our belly! But that’s what Jesus said. The very next verse explains He was talking about the Holy Spirit (John 7:39). That “flowing water” is the Spirit of God living inside believers. That means when you get that feeling deep down—especially when it lines up with God’s Word—it could be the Holy Spirit guiding you.
If You’re Born Again, You Have the Holy Spirit
The Bible is clear: if you’ve truly put your faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives in you. Romans 8:9 says, “If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.”
Being born again doesn’t mean you just go to church or try to be good. It means God has made you new—and He lives inside you. The Holy Spirit is your helper, teacher, and guide. He leads you toward truth and away from sin.
So that gut feeling? That might be more than emotion. It might be God.
Discernment Is a Gift from the Holy Spirit
In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul lists the gifts the Holy Spirit gives to believers. One of those gifts is called discernment of spirits. That means the Spirit helps you tell what is right and what is wrong—even when it’s hard to see.
Have you ever met someone who seemed nice on the outside, but something just felt “off”? Or maybe you were about to say something mean, but you felt stopped in your spirit. That’s not just instinct. That could be discernment—a gift from the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit Helps Us—If We Listen
Let’s be honest: sometimes we ignore that voice inside. We second-guess it. We think we’re just being emotional or overthinking. But the Holy Spirit doesn’t speak for no reason.
John 16:13 says the Spirit will lead us into truth. That means He speaks to help us live God’s way. He warns us. He comforts us. He gives peace. The more we listen and obey, the more we learn to hear Him clearly.
How Can You Tell If It’s the Holy Spirit?
Here’s the key: the Holy Spirit will never lead you to sin. He will always line up with the Bible. So if you’re not sure, check God’s Word. Ask yourself: Does this thought bring peace? Does it make me more like Jesus? Does it match what Scripture says?
That little tug in your belly might be the Holy Spirit saying, “Go this way.”
And you can trust Him.
Call to Repentance:
If you’ve been trying to earn your way into heaven, it’s time to stop striving and start surrendering. Today can be the day everything changes. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” Don’t wait for a better moment. Turn from your sin, believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, and receive the gift of eternal life. He is calling—respond to Him today.
