Back when the Russian invasion of Ukraine happened I wrote a post about Our Lady of Fatima's request for the Consecration of Russia and how it still has not happened. See below for the entire 2/24/22 post.
I wrote at the end:
Maybe it's time to believe and DO what the Blessed Virgin Mary told us. What more do we have to lose, except more death and destruction in this world? The Catholic Church and Pope need to lose their egos and MUST specifically consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in clear, open terms with ALL the bishops of the world. It will happen someday, if not in my lifetime, because as Our Lady says "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”
How wonderful. Isn't that something to look forward to?
Well, now, I am quite amazed (truly I am) that this current Pope has decided that he will consecrate Russia "and Ukraine" to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on March 25, 2022, the Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. According to the Vatican:
The Pope will make the prayer in the afternoon of Friday, 25 March – the Solemnity of the Annunciation – in St Peter’s Basilica, on the occasion of the Celebration of Penance, scheduled to begin at 5 pm. The same act, on the same day, will be undertaken by all the bishops of the world. Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, the papal almoner, will perform the act of consecration at Fatima as the envoy of the Pope.
Will this act fulfill what the Virgin Mary asked for at Fatima?
We shall see on Friday. He has already invited all the bishops of the world to join in the consecration, which is good. But Francis has a tendency to insert himself and his pride into everything that he does. If the Pope keeps the actual consecration prayer simple, and does not make it all about him, the consecration may FINALLY be completed, leading to peace in this world. All the Pope needs to do is say a simple consecration prayer that takes less than 30 seconds - "I consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary." Already though, with his addition of “Ukraine,” I fear he will go off on one of his wokey tangents and start talking about climate change, or transexuals, or income tax. That's what he's good at. Messing things up with his secular pet projects and his “look at me!” ego.
But who knows, maybe God will actually use him (one of the worst Popes the Catholic Church has ever had, in my opinion and in the opinion of some cardinals), to do one of the best acts of faith the world has seen. God is like that.

People just can't do simple things. Everything has to be complicated and stupid. When God speaks to me (my external thoughts) it is always simple with few words. We should learn from God, but we never do.
Never fails with Francis. Seems he might be consecrating "all humanity" along with Russia and Ukraine. Would not surprise me if he just says all humanity, and those countries at war, and then goes off on a wokey and all transexuals, and mother earth, pachamama, etc. He's a humanist, maybe even a transhumanist. Of course it's all about humanity with him.
