Miracles? Jesus?
I try to ignore him as much as possible. Not Jesus, Pope Francis. I don't like him. I really don't. I find him smug, humorless, pompous, stupid and a humanist.
"But why do you say that Napoleon, I thought you were a traditional Catholic?"
Because he is. Pope or no pope. Not all popes are infallible. All Catholics are required to listen to the pope, but that doesn't make him God. In fact, at this moment Francis is at war against traditional Catholics, and wants them gone. He's a pleasant man.
He's so pleasant that he just said expect no miracles from Jesus. That's right! Expect no miracles from the only man who ever performed miracles on the earth. Per Francis:
“Jesus also goes the way of the prophets: he presents himself as we would not expect. He is not found by those who seek miracles – if we look for miracles, we will not find Jesus."
Beautiful! I guess we can throw out all the gospel accounts of Jesus' miracles (water into wine; calming of tempest; multiplication of fishes/loaves; walking on water; healings; lazarus rising; deliverance of demons, etc). In addition, ignore Jesus' teaching "For human beings this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matt 19:26)
So, what are we left with? According to Francis:
“Instead, he is found only by those who accept his ways and his challenges, without complaint, without suspicion, without criticism and long faces. In other words, Jesus asks you to accept him in the daily reality that you live; in the Church of today, as it is; in those who are close to you every day; in the reality of those in need”.
Humanism. Reality. Ok. That's fine. Even Jesus said, "In the world you will have trouble..." But he finished that statement with "but take courage, I have conquered the world.” (Jn 16:2)
Is Jesus requiring us to live in the drudgery of real life 24/7/365? Do we need to only rely on human actions? Can we never expect a miracle in this life? That is not what Jesus says. In fact, we should only look to Jesus for miracles, since he is the only one who can provide them. Francis might want to reread the Catechism of the Catholic Church he leads:
"The signs worked by Jesus attest that the Father sent him. They invite belief in him. To those who turn to him in faith, he grants what they ask. So miracles strengthen faith in the One who does his Father's works; they bear witness that he is the Son of God." (CCC 548)
See, Francis doesn't want people going to Jesus to look for miracles, because people might find them. Jesus might grant them, and then what? All hell breaks loose! Humans will no longer be masters of their own destinies! Humanism is threatened!
Oh, and Francis made this pronouncement on World Leprosy Day where he said:
“I express my closeness to those who suffer from this disease, and I hope that there will be no lack of spiritual assistance and healthcare assistance. It is necessary to work together towards the full integration of these people, overcoming every form of discrimination associated with a sickness that unfortunately still afflicts many people, especially in the most disadvantaged social contexts.”
Hypocrite. As the Vatican is closed to the Covid-unvaccinated. How are you working toward full integration of the new lepers Francis? How are you overcoming discrimination of those who have no disease except for the disease of not complying with your humanistic pharmos?
Well Francis, keep your humanism. I will seek miracles with Jesus.
Francis just said something stupid that people who reject Jesus are still in the communion of saints. That man is insane. God time for him to go.
I am not going to look to the demons Fauci & Co. for miracles. The pope is a supreme IPDIT, he doesn't like Jesus stealing his thunder. Egos are killers.
