'Oh Angel of God, whom God has appointed to be my guardian, enlightener and protector, direct and govern me'.
(Treasury Of The Sacred Heart 1958)
I sense they do exist. I believe I have been the benefactor of a couple of direct touches without which unfolding physical events would have become terminal.
How wonderful! I remember one time I was driving down the road in a snowstorm and hit a patch of snow. My tiny little car then felt like it was lifted off the road and remained airborne for a second and then plopped back down on dry pavement farther up. I thought for sure I would have rolled over in a ditch on that one. Funny thing is, at that moment "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees was playing on the radio. Maybe my dour guardian angels do have a sense of humor after all!
Definitely need all the Divine guidance and protections in our mortal fleshly time here behind enemy lines. If you didn’t get eye rolls from you grumpy angels, then just thank them for help you may not know they are giving you.
Lol! They were kind of grumpy. They looked at me like "why are you here?" Then I wasn't there anymore. Maybe they look at my life and think "geesh, couldn't we have gotten a more exciting human to guard." But they're stuck with me now, and I'm back here on earth to do something. I'm going to start thanking them for whatever they are doing.
I am sure we have guardian angels among us. Maybe reading the Bible would assist belief in the presence of them on divine errands to assist us, mortals.
Have you ever felt prompted to say something to someone; something that you might not ordinarily say or do something for someone ? It might just be that you were having your own 'Angel Gabriel' moment and that your Guardian was delivering to you the prompt from Divine Providence; much as Gabriel delivered the message to the Virgin Mary.
You're right I get that all the time. Sometimes I'm prompted to say or do something I don't really want to do, so I know that prompt comes from outside me. You know what's funny is that yesterday I was trying to find something to watch and I came across the 1995 movie - The Prophesy. It's about the second war of the angels in Heaven with Gabriel leading the war, on the bad side. The movie was stupid actually but I find it quite funny that that movie showed up one day after my post about guardian angels and now your comment about Gabriel.
All right I'm convinced - guardian angels do exist!
Happy I could help if that be the case. Heaven knows we need as much assistance as we can get in this life especially in an ever increasingly evil world.
Interesting that you mention the Holy Spirit. I often wonder about the Holy Spirit - the divine spark within us. Jesus sent the paraclete to guide and help us when He left the earth. So why do we also need guardian angels? Maybe the angels handle physical interactions outside of our control whereas the Holy Spirit handles mental and emotional interations inside our control? Someday I'm going to write a post about the Holy Spirit when I muse on it some more.
Prayer to the Guardian Angel

Have you ever seen or felt evidence of them in your life Charlotte? Are they maybe the small nudges or gut feelings guiding us in the things we do?

With yesterday (10/02)(being the Feast of the Guardian Angels on the Roman Calendar it is my hope that your makes an even larger impact in your life.
Happy I could help if that be the case. Heaven knows we need as much assistance as we can get in this life especially in an ever increasingly evil world.
Yes, for sure, I have felt their presence, and perhaps they are in tandem with the Holy Spirit as well for guidance or protection.
