His last name, Miranda, is a badge of honor carried from his father, a proud Puerto Rican, disabled veteran, devoted husband of 58 years, and most importantly, a man of deep faith.

The Illusion of Success

Stephen grew up immersed in Christian values. Church pews, Bible verses on the fridge, prayers before dinner—these were all familiar rhythms. But as the years rolled forward, the steady beat of faith began to fade beneath the noise of the world. At 18, Stephen left home for college and, like many, left behind the faith of his childhood.
