Here comes the sequel to Deuces Wild. Another Roundup of random thoughts on this day of 2's:
2. Today is the Chair of St. Peter Feast Day (Cathedra Petri).
The day to celebrate the physical chair of St. Peter, the first Pope, at the Vatican, as well as its symbol of the special mission of Peter and his Successors to tend Christ’s flock, keeping it united in faith and in charity. Why do Traditional Catholics celebrate it?
- Peter was the first Apostle to recognize Jesus as the Messiah, Son of God. As a result, Jesus said:
Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.(Matt. 16:13-19)
- Jesus appointed Peter as the first Pope of the Catholic Church, with all other Popes succeeding from Peter (why the Church is seen as Catholic and Apostolic). Jesus says that the Catholic Church will survive, even until his Second Coming. In addition, the Pope, Bishops and Priests are given the power to help lead souls to Heaven (of course not all Popes, Bishops, and Priests are using this power correctly - a future post to come on this issue).
- Celebrating the "Chair" of Peter, therefore, means attributing a strong spiritual significance to it and recognizing it as a privileged sign of the love of God, the eternal Good Shepherd, who wants to gather his whole Church and lead her on the path of salvation.
- Remember that Jesus/God gave the keys to the kingdom of Heaven to Peter, not to any politician on this planet, not to the school boards, not to medical doctors, not to mask nazis, not to Hollywood stars, yada, yada, yada. Those people have the earth. We have Heaven, if we follow Christ as shepherded by Peter.
2. Today is also 2-22-2022 on a Tuesday (Toosday). That is mucho twos! As I said before, the number two is my favorite number. Should I play the lottery or bingo? Will my ship finally come in? Nah, doubt it. But have a laugh at Jesus' foray into casino bingo:
2. Today is the first day of Justin Toodope's power grab. This is depressing. The Canadian Parliament solidified Toodope's martial law power. What to do? Nothing. Literally do nothing Canadians. Exit the system. Sit home and let the economy burst into a thousand pieces. Money talks and bullcrap walks. Quit trying to think you can make a difference with your secular actions among demonic humans. You can't. Do (or technically Not Do) three simple things:
Do not comply (don't wear masks, don't attend passport events, don't pay taxes)
Do not compel others to comply (don't send your children to public schools, don't require your employees/customers to mask or present papers, don't be a mask/vaxx dick to other people)
Pray (Rosary every day, Our Father, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Salve Regina, a simple Grace at mealtimes, or just a "what the heck are you doing God complaint!"). We are not powerful against the powers and principalities of darkness. God is. He is our Redeemer. God has already won. We need to tap into that winning power.
In the meantime, for all Canadians - Toodope thinks he has won. Ha! He just started his destruction on this day of 2's. God doesn't like Bratty Boobs:
