The number 2 is my favorite number. So I thought I would do a Deuces Wild Roundup of random thoughts on this day of 2's:
2. Today is Candlemas. The purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The day when Mary brought the infant Jesus to the temple 40 days after his birth, per Jewish law. Why do Traditional Catholics celebrate it?
The Lord is brought to the Temple and recognized by Simeon the old prophet and Anna the old prophetess.
This recognition is God's revelation to the Gentiles and glory to the Jews of our salvation.
In the mass, candles are lit and a procession is held by the faithful (real candles and flame!). This shows that darkness has been defeated and the light reigns. Remember that in these dark days! God has already won.
2. Today is Groundhog's Day. If the groundhog in Pennsylvania sees his shadow then six more weeks of winter. Gee, I wonder what it'll be? Early spring? Considering metereological spring doesn't start until March 21st and spring never starts here in upstate NY until tax day April 15, doubt it. Also, Groundhog's Day is now known as the day of the time loop, from the 1993 movie of the same name, where a man was forced to relive the same day over and over. Every day I wake up to Groundhog's Day here in the slave state of New York in the fascist country of the USA, and I wait for the demonic evil overlords to be smashed (and they will).
2. Today is the fifth day of the Canadian Freedom Convoy sit-in at Ottawa. A snow storm is coming. Let's hope the truckers have the snow plow drivers on their side otherwise this is the perfect opportunity for the government to kick the trucks out and keep them out. We will see what happens. I have a feeling this day will be key to what happens in the future. People have been asking what about truckers in the US? Nothing will happen here. Too many free states who don't care about the slave states right now. It will be years before the reverse US Civil War breaks out and the free states win. Read history.

Thanks for sharing, I also have 2 as my favorite number so it is a great day 2/2/22! I did hear that US truckers trying to organize have just been kicked off Facebook. I know we are shocked but perhaps US will get it together. Hope Canadians truckers can drive change for them. I also saw, you probably did as well, that government called for Tow trucks to start removing trucks and all tow truck companies said they were covid + and isolating.
