Dear God:
It's Sunday. Time for me to go to Mass, where I can find my weekly peace and solace for an hour. The Mass is really the only place I can go to block out people and concentrate on You and Jesus. Since You have guided me back to the Traditional Latin Mass, where the total focus is on Jesus' sacrifice, and not on people as it is at the Novus Ordo Mass, I have found a true place for prayer and contemplation during the insanity of the past two years.
But what do I hear now? People are going to be at the Mass disrupting and destroying the Eucharist in protest against their right to disrupt and destroy human lives. Sigh. It never ends, does it? Humans and their narcissistic egos have to be everywhere, loud and proud!
I certainly hope it doesn't happen at my Church, which is far away in a rural area, since protestors usually don't like to travel outside of a city. But you never know I suppose. Some fool has already desecrated an SSPX Church in Missouri.
Why Lord? Why do people have such utter disdain for Churches, and especially Catholic Churches? Could it be that the Truth lies there, and from the past three years we can see how much society abhors Truth. Why can't people just ignore the Church and leave us alone? Why do they have to destroy everything they touch?
Destroy the Eucharist? People don't even know what that means. You CANNOT destroy the Eucharist. The Eucharist is Jesus, real and present. Jesus was not destroyed on the cross and he is certainly not going to be destroyed by a protestor stomping or burning the wafer. It's kind of sad really, what people think is important in life.
Well, I guess this can be an example of the Church showing kindness (love?) for lost people, and these protestors are truly lost. Maybe the mere presence of walking into a Church will dissuade some of them to stop the madness that they intend to do. Maybe the response of the parishioners will show true love and forgiveness.
I don't know. The world is a crazy place and all I want is a place to escape it. Please protect the Mass today Lord, this on Mother's Day. Send Archangel Michael to defend and protect us all.
Sincerely,
Napoleon
Thank you God. No problems at the Mass I attended yesterday. I know your protection is strong for your sheep.
Our Mass was over capacity attendance with zero drama. Beautiful TLM, so blessed to have in my life. Ave Maria.
