Dear God:

Why do your chosen people continue to turn their backs on you?

It is probably just human nature and if You didn't chose the Jewish people as the ones to show Your existence and love for us, whomever You chose would just do the exact same thing. Our egos are just too large to humble ourselves before a God we can't see, and really even if we could physically see You we would still reject You, because that's what us humans do.

Jesus was a Jew. The prophets were Jews. Every apostle was a Jew. Christianity would not exist without the existence of the Jewish people. But I'm not telling You something You don't already know. The New Covenant came out of the Old Covenant. It's time that the world embraces the New Covenant, including Your chosen people. Jesus said so, and commanded so.

But here we are again with human egos saying NO!!! We cannot evangelize, and especially the Jewish people. They must be left alone and never, ever can we say they killed Jesus. But they did and that is good. The chosen people brought forth the New Covenant, as IT SHOULD BE. You chose the Jews for a reason and Jesus was destined to die at their hands.

It's all as it should be. It is not a disparagement against the Jews. It is history and it is what needed to happen. Human ego says to bury that history, and the chosen people's role in bringing forth Your Kingdom. If we don't talk about why Jesus died and by whom then we don't have to acknowledge Jesus' existence at all. If Jesus didn't exist at all then we don't have to evangelize and try to save all souls for Christ. We can all just go along our merry ways in the Babel of this world, believing what we like and dying with no hope of eternal life, because really there is no afterlife anyways.

No. It's all wrong. All people must be converted as that is Your wish, I know it to the depth of my soul. Especially your chosen people. The tears You must shed watching the Jewish people. They are Yours and yet, they rejected Your New Covenant. The rejection is so complete that it will soon be illegal in the U.S. to even try to convert them to Christianity, to Jesus, whom they killed, as written in history, as it should be, for hope in eternal life with You.

It's all good, yet human ego makes it all bad. We don't talk about other people's religion or lack of, we don't evangelize, we don't spread the Gospel, we ignore that Jesus ever existed or was murdered for us, and in the end all of this leads to a world that is complete hell. Ignorance is bliss? No, ignorance is eternal death.

So why am I writing this letter to You Lord? Because You are the only one I can talk to about this. Nobody else is interested or are too scared to talk about the evangelization of Your chosen people, or even of any people. I know I can't evangelize any stranger but I will continue with my own small family. This is where I turn to St. Monica for intercession. She prayed unceasingly for the conversion of her husband and son, and was granted her prayers by You at the end of her life. What joy! I pray also for the conversion of my non-Christian family members to Jesus' Church. You hear my prayers and someday my joy will be seen before I leave this earth.

Help with the conversion of Your chosen people Lord. They deserve the joy and peace of Jesus and everlasting life in Your presence.
