Dear God:
Faith.
The virtue you want us to have the most, and the virtue the most difficult to obtain. Jesus talked about faith constantly:
"Oh yea of little faith."
"And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
"For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
But what is faith? We are taught that faith is believing in You and trusting Your plan, even when we don't understand it, see any evidence of it, or disagree with it. That is opposite to how humans live in the world. Especially in this science-filled, anti-God society. Believe your eyes only! (unless it's anything pertaining to covid, then it's believe what the elite tell you to believe).
Most days I wish I could see your plan and not rely on faith that all will turn to good. This society is so awful and every day it seems to get worse. All I have is the little faith that You win in the end (even though I may never see it in my lifetime). I wish I had more faith and could enjoy my life now knowing all is good and that our prayers are answered. I wish I had enough faith to accept Your will that all that is happening is what it should be and even though everything looks evil, it is all for good.
Lord, increase my faith!
Sincerely,
Napoleon
Faith is the key step. Faith is hard because it is not hope, it is not a feeling, it is not being optimistic or positive. It is belief. Belief in God. Belief in Jesus. Unanswered prayers are the blockage to faith. We pray to God, he doesn't answer, our problems persist. We start to doubt God.
I read human sin blocks us from faith. Which explains why Jesus, who was sinless, had difficulty with humans and even his apostles, as they did not have enough faith to move mountains and heal because of their sin.
Catch 22 situation. An enigma.
Yes...Amen.
