Kathy "my eyebrows are escaping my forehead" Hochul, the demonic Governor of New York state, has gleefully banned natural gas as a power source for cooking stoves and heating.

Of course the selected (NOT elected) demons in the New York state communist party (oops I mean Legislature), voted in lockstep with the 'Ho, because...well just because.

The New York state voters did not get to vote on the ban. Because we are all pathetic peons who do whatever the demonic nannies tell us, it is for our own good doncha know.

NY Natural Gas Ban

In a moldy cracked nutshell that only NY believes is good for you:

New York state requires “zero-emission” appliances in NEW constructed houses and buildings of seven stories or less, beginning in 2026. Taller buildings would fall under the rule in 2029.

Furnaces and stoves that burn natural gas or other fossil fuels will be prohibited, with limited exemptions for large commercial and industrial buildings.

Glory be to our demonic overlords, the New York state peons that are still living in the hell that is New York (such as me) will be "allowed" to replace current gas furnaces and stoves in their highly taxed dilapidated homes and businesses with new gas furnaces and stoves when their old ones kick the bucket -- you know -- the whole grandfather clause.

Of course this gas ban mandate was included as an add on with the NYS budget, so the demonic legislature would pass it, because the legislators don't want to hold up the budget as that would mean no money for themselves...and demons CAN'T HAVE THAT.

I can guarantee the grandfather clause for allowing replacement gas stoves and furnaces in current residences and businesses will be removed in next year's budget, or the 'Ho will just write another executive mandate with her scratchy wrinkly talons eliminating it because of SCIENCE doncha know.

I live in the hell that is New York state (I am trying to get out I swear). I heat with a natural gas furnace, I have a natural gas water heater, a natural gas cooking stove, and a natural gas clothes dryer.

Hell is NOT heat and fire - it is living in NY state

If the 'Ho has her way, and she will, all four of my natural gas appliances will be dumped in the landfill and replaced with electric appliances (all at MY cost). Because electricity is better for the environment in some weird jumbled up rubik's cube logic that only the demons in government understand.

OK 'Ho when are you going to upgrade the infrastructure in the densely populated rural neighborhood that I live in to support everyone going all electric for everything in the home including charging our multiple electric cars?

I plugged in an iron a couple weeks ago and it blew a 15amp circuit in my home. When the air conditioners in my neighborhood turn on in the middle of summer, lights flicker throughout my house.

What’s a little spark and fire? It’s all good because it is electric!

Last week National Grid (the foreign based electric/gas utility company that supplies gas/electric for upstate NY) spent all day at the utility pole outside my house replacing two lines to two of my neighbors’ homes. Of course they didn't bury the lines (my house has buried lines because it was built in 2009), but just strung them from the pole across the street to the poles on the outside of the homes.

Shouldn't National Grid be burying all new lines they install so ice storms and trees will not take down electrical lines, considering in the next few years ALL New Yorkers will be depending on electricity for everything, especially heating?

Hey 'Ho, you are taking natural gas away and replacing it with an infrastructure that can barely support an electric iron and air conditioners that run one month out of the year. But everyone running electric heat pumps 9 months out of the year, and charging those non-existent electric cars on our measly 50 amp circuits (on a 200 amp box) being overpowered by my electric appliances is fine and dandy with our antiquated utility grid in New York state.

It is all sparkly unicorns until the shit hits the electric heat pump fan.

I guess the 'Ho and the sycophant demonic NYS Legislators assume most of the population in New York state will leave NY, and they won't have to upgrade the grid, as there will be less people using the grid.

Now THAT makes sense.
